Grip Strength

What is grip strength testing?

It gives us a quick snapshot of your total body strength and resilience
What does grip strength measure?

Grip strength testing is a simple way to measure how strong your hands are—and it turns out to be a powerful indicator of your overall muscle strength and health. It can be used to see how you compare to age and sex based norms, and can also show early signs of muscle loss. Grip strength is one of the strongest predictors of health and longevity. Low strength has been linked to an increased risk of falls and frailty, reduced mobility and independence and higher risk of chronic disease and hospitalization. But – knowing its an issue allows us to modify those risk factors and improve upon them!
